The song was first posted to YouTube on 12 November 2020 by user Fernando Roque. He claimed it had been recorded from an online radio station earlier that day. A few hours later, Fernando reposted the song to the r/music and r/tipofmytongue subreddits. He explained that he could not remember the radio station it came from and only recorded a snippet when he initially heard the song, as he was playing a game on his phone at the time and did not want to leave the game. He also said that he was from South Texas, USA.
