Poor Christmas is an unidentified synth-rock song recorded from a German radio station in October 1987. The recording and subsequent push to find the artist behind the track was done by René M (AKA DeDiniDevil/MellieTerry).
In October 1987, René M recorded the song from a German radio broadcast onto cassette. The identity of the station is not known, but possible candidates include HR 3 (Hessen 3), Radio FFN and NDR 2.
René has claimed that the song was potentially titled "Poor Christmas" or "Your Christmas" and performed by a band whose name was something like "The Face", "The Grace", or "The Faith".
In the early 2000s, René created a website under the username DeDiniDevil. The site featured a "wanted" section dedicated to identifying unknown songs from his collection. "Poor Christmas" likely appeared on this site around 2001.
On 16 September 2007, a user called René R (not OP) posted the song onto SpiritofRadio.ca. He claimed that he had been looking for over 3 years, but the post remained inactive.
On 31 March 2015, OP uploaded the song to YouTube.
On 25 November 2021, OP uploaded a new transfer of the original recording.

Hear the poor boy whisper
On wishes we don’t know
And see his little sister
She's trembling in the snow
They need your hands, your healing hands
Only to survive
They’ve suffered sights and endless nights
It's you throughout their lives
Come on, come on, come on
We need your eyes of love
Come on, come on, come on
Know there's no illusion
Just fighting for a saint
They're living in confusion
The moment gets one weak
I need to hope; a reaching hope
It's working in their way
Forgotten faces, endless pavements
And that’s just Christmas day
Ooh, soon they will realise
A bedroom feels so nice
Please come
A lovely wintery heart / And I’ll be with you soon
