Wait Forever is an unidentified Minimal Wave song. It was originally shared as "In Tensions - Wait Forever", but there has never been any confirmation or proof that the alleged artist name or song title are correct.

HISTORY

On 01 November 2011, the song was first uploaded to YouTube by user Nakkiel7. They claimed that it was shared with them as "Wait Forever - In Tensions". No evidence has been found confirming this bands existence. At the time, the OP didn’t provide any other information.

On 23 February 2012, a slightly lower-quality version of the song was uploaded to YouTube by user Scientronik, with the similar name "In Tension - Wait Forever". It is unknown if this user discovered this audio independently, or actually got it from the OPs YouTube upload.

On 18 January 2018, YouTube user DieSternenguckerin6605 commented on the OP upload, claiming that they had a mixtape with the song on it that was given to them by a friend around 2002. They said that they asked this friend where they originally got the mixtape, and was told that a girl first gave it to them in the early 1990s. DieSternenguckerin6605 also stated that they were no longer in contact with the person who gave them the tape.

On 05 April 2019, YouTube user Pop80s commented on the OPs upload, and claimed to have spoken to a friend who confirmed that the song came from a German tape compilation. They said that the compilation was comprised of local German bands, of varying genres, and only consisted of a limited number of copies being made. They did not provide any additional information.

On May 6th, 2022, user stanleydykes4134 commented on Scientronik's upload, also claiming that the song originated from a German compilation/mixtape. He provided a link to another YouTube video, explaining that more information could be found in the comments, but this video has since been deleted.

On 09 March 2024, Nakkiel was asked where they got the song from. They replied, claiming that the song was originally sent to them via the file-sharing program Soulseek, in a community called Guerrero Fronde, that shared rare and unidentified 1980s music.
