I Live In Fire is an unidentified Synth Pop/Electronic song. It’s opening samples Thieves Like Us by New Order.

HISTORY

The song was originally posted to YouTube on 29 September 2021 by Apocalypse Meow. They titled it "Unknown Song Influenced By Power, Corruption, Lies by New Order, 2017". The description explained that they were recording music from an unknown radio on their phone when this song came on. They decided to continue recording in the hopes of identifying the artist behind the song. They also noted the similarity to New Order.

Later that same day, OP reposted the song to the New Wave Outpost Forums under the account play dead. Here, he added additional information regarding the radio station, saying it was a local college radio station.

On 04 October 2021, user Pashpaw discovered that the songs intro sampled Thieves Like Us by New Order.

On 24 April 2023, OP returned with further information. He clarified that he recorded it on the afternoon of 30 May 2017 from WESN 88.1 FM in Bloomington, Illinois. He also confirmed that the DJ failed to announce the song title or artist name.
