...she had worked so hard and can't help but show
And I wouldn't mind as long as she'd come home
I know, but all I see is that she's taking my heart away
Yes, she's taking my heart away
(Take it, baby)
My baby was a real fine girl
But now she's a name in the whole wide world
She gives me a ring every week or so
She says "I ain’t got much time" and "sorry I gotta go"
I'll say "don't worry about me" and "I'll judge a Broadway show"
Ain't got no more I could take away
My baby's finally hit the big time
My baby's just here doing fine
My woman's finally hit the big time
